ABSTRACT OF RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Some researches in the year of 2000 - 2003 recommended that Anoa will totally disappeared from the Lore Lindu National Park of Central Sulawesi, otherwise there is a good conservation planning concerning within. Endeavored the sustainability of Anoa, it is needed to do problem’s identification and also evaluation by various approach method to get the optimal result and reach the target. The research aim to obtain the information about the type of Anoa’s feed with dung/faecal analysis method to study the epidermis component as input in preparing of proper feed requirement for Anoa in the preservation/conservation.

PROBLEM CONCERN
The decreasing of Anoa’s habitat as the effect of forest exploitation as well as forest convertion to become agriculture area, trasmigration location, plantation, industrialization has affected to speed up the disappearing of this animal. During this time, Anoa’s feed identification was only observed by direct perception method on footstep trace and also on the tracer of vegetation biting in around of Anoa’s habitat. So, it still unpredictable whether the vegetation was consumed by Anoa or other herbivore animal which also exist in the location. Refering to the problem is needed to conduct a furthermore research by using more other accurate dissimilar approach method. This alternatif method would be compared and discussed with some experts from Center of nature Conservation in Goettingen University which also supported by CeTSAF. . Information about Anoa’s behaviour will support its handling and adaptation in the preservation/conservation location. This research is a part of STORMA project which conduct in Sulawesi, Indonesia. A part of the research result will be used to finish my doctor degree.

OUTPUT

1. Data base of favorite and available Anoa’s diet.
2. Data base of preparing and conservation technology of Anoa’s diet at the original habitat as well as in the preservation.
